YOGA AND MEDITATION
Today in the fast-paced modern age of technology we are always on the move, not really giving a second thought to our health and well- being. The daily stresses are ever- increasing and the effects are clear for all to see. With the deterioration of our mental and physical wellbeing, and our bodies being plagued, we end up ultimately leading a miserable life.
The Arya Samaj is embarking on an extensive self-wellness campaign for the benefit of humanity. We believe that through the ancient practice of yoga and meditation one is able to develop harmoniously, creating a balance between the external and internal realms of consciousness. The benefits are truly vast for us as human beings, as we need to consciously evolve. Yoga and meditation are paramount to this individual growth. By this all – inclusive development one will be less stressed, be in better control of one’s emotions and ultimately enjoy a more self – fulfilling life.
The Samaj has begun celebrating International Yoga Day on the 21st June each year for the promotion of Yoga for personal well-being.
There is no reason to procrastinate! The only question each of us need to ask ourselves is do we wait for the onset of illness and then react or are we proactive in leading a well – balanced and healthy lifestyle to prevent mental and physical problems in the future.

- Saturday at 08H00 at the Westville Hindu School
- Monday between 18H30 and 20H00 at Yuvak Arya Samaj in Clairwood.
