The aims and objectives are:
- To serve as an assembly of representatives of the Arya Samaj organisations in the Republic of South Africa.
- To foster and promote Arya Samaj movement based on the following principles:
- God, His characteristics: The Primordial Root – the Eternal Unseen Sustainer of all true knowledge and of objects made known by true knowledge – any of all these is the Supreme God.
- His Attributes and Worship: God is Personification of Existence, Intelligence and Bliss. He is Formless, Almighty, Just, Benevolent, Unborn, Endless and Infinite, Unchangeable, Beginning-less, Incomparable, Support of All, Lord of All, All-pervading, Omniscient and Controller of all from within, Undecaying, Imperishable, Fearless, Eternal, Holy and Maker of the Universe. To Him alone is worship due.
- His Word, the Veda: The Veda is the Scripture of true knowledge. It is the paramount duty of every Arya to learn and teach the Veda, to hear it, read it and recite it to others.
- Truth: We should be ever ready to embrace truth and forsake untruth.
- Righteousness: All acts should be done in accordance with Dharma after deliberating what is right and wrong.
- Benevolence: The prime object of the Arya Samaj is to do good to the world, that is to promote the physical, spiritual, and social good of every sentient being.
- Love and Justice: Our conduct towards all should be guided by love, righteousness, and justice.
- Nescience and Science: We should dispel “avidya” (nescience), and promote “vidya (science), spiritual and physical.
- Individualism and Altruism: No one should be content with promoting his good only; on the contrary, he should look for his good in promoting the good of all.
- Subordination and Liberty: All individuals should subordinate themselves to the laws of society calculated to promote the well-being of all; they should be free regarding the laws promoting individual well-being.
- In pursuance of the Ten (10) Principles of the Arya Samaj, the activities and programmes will be conducted on a non-profit basis with an altruistic or philanthropic intent for public, and common good.
- Create an interest in and propagate Vedic Philosophy of the Hindu Religion in accordance with the principles as propagated by the Arya Samaj.
- Promote Hindu Art, Hindu Culture and Indian Languages in accordance with the principles, tenets and doctrine of Vedic culture and values
- Promote academic study and research of Vedic literature.
- Promote inter-religious dialogue between the different religions in South Africa, in Africa and internationally with the aim of understanding and appreciating the diversities and embracing the commonalties.
- Encourage and engage in programmes that promote democracy, human rights, social cohesion, environmental sustainability, and inter-racial, cultural and gender harmony in South Africa as well as by engaging in dialogue and sharing values.
