Week 7 ’25

Swami Shankranand arrived in Natal from England in 1908. He delivered eloquent discourses on Hindu Culture, religion, Indian civilisation, faith in God, ceremonies, the importance of mother tongue and other related cultural topics. He emphasised the importance and significance of festivals and since then Deepavali has come to be recognised as a festival of Hindus in South Africa.
