On 22 November 1952 a conference was convened on the recommendation of Pandit Nardev Vedalankar. The outcome was the establishment of the Vedic Priest Academy. Panditji was elected its first President and served in this capacity till 1985. Panditji was the Chief Priest of Vedic priests.
